Human Design for Everyone

Human Design for Everyone I want to make Human Design available for EVERYONE. As someone who is in the realm of wellness, I feel it is my responsibility to create offerings that are available for as many people as possible. A common theme I am seeing a lot is a pay barrier. I think wellness people should get paid what they feel they deserve but often this creates a barrier for people who want access to health but are not able to afford it. It is my hope through my various offerings to help as many people as possible  have access to this information so that they can continue to shine. One way I am doing this is by offering donation based Human Design Readings. I am inspired by the Yoga with Adriene model of sharing free content on Youtube and having some offerings and membership along the way. Why Human Design? Human Design has really shifted  the way I see myself in this world. From digging deep into human design I understand that I …

Favorite Wellness Products / Summer 2022

Taking a moment to share some of my favorite alternative approaches to overall health and wellbeing I think wellness can be simplified. We don’t nearly as much as we think we do and we essentially vote with our dollar. There is a lot of noise out there and it’s important to go with what works for ourselves and our bodies. To me the core foundations of health revolve around body, mind and soul. It’s easy to get sucked into the world of…I need everything to truly be well. The reality is, our bodies are intelligent and respond to our environment. If we maintain balance in our lives by eating well, resting well, not stressing, being in nature and connecting with others…chances are we are able to live a beautifully well life. I have been simplifying my wellness purchases over the past 5 years which saves a lot of money and time. I find that the more I devote to the pillars of health, as mentioned above, the happier and healthier I feel. Sometimes self care …

Overcoming Negative Thinking

Some Personal Reflections on Negative Thinking We are biologically hardwired to think negatively, it has helped us survive as a species to contemplate the “worst possible situation” and to find an alternate life saving path. We call this mechanism the Negativity Bias. This inherit bias is helpful in some situations but not…every situation…all the time. This bias can keep us in a perpetual state of negative thinking which affects how we feel, our energies, how we show up in the world, our health and so much more. To learn more check out this article.  We reflect the world we were brought up in If we were raised in a house hold of “negative Nancy’s” and “Ned’s?”, then chances are we might have received some “programming” to carry similar negative thinking patterns from our environment. But guess what…our brain is neuroplastic and we can change the expressions of our genes (hello epigenetics) through changing our environment. The most immediate environment being our bodies and our minds. If we were raised to think a certain way, we can …

Building Love for Oneself

Cultivating love for the longest relationship of our lives I am currently listening to the book, Embrace your Power by Louise Hay and feel inspired to share about the journey of self love. Loving ourselves is radical work that is necessary in our world. When we show up for ourselves, we show up for the world. We are programmed from an early age to believe that we are not good enough until…We have this….we are that…etc. We are hardwired to see lack…when there is so much abundance in our lives. When we learn to jump out of ourselves and sense our true reality, that everything we need we already have, we can feel a sense of peace. ☮️ To really truly let go of of all of the conditioning and to say to yourself, I am not broken Everything is always working out for me The Universe Loves me and no matter what, this will work out to my advantage.   This peace rests in accepting ourselves and loving our selves exactly as we are. …

Ways you can connect with Nature

How can we connect deeper with the Nature? There are so many ways we can connect with the Earth. Something I have been reflecting on a lot after our Smokey Mountains National Park road trip. Connecting with nature feels so good. It rejuvenates us and fills us with a remembering of our own inner light. I always knew being in nature felt good and I know there is so much scientific evidence to support that, buy my heart tells me…of course it feels good. Some ways we can connect to the Earth 🌏 ✅ Go for a sunrise / sunset 🌅 walk There is a lot of research that suggests that sunsets and sunrises help attune our hormones to our natural mammalian rhythms. We have been evolving for a very long time to see the colors of the sky in the morning and night. Getting fresh air is so good for you and really keeps your being in check. The sun’s light signals when it’s time to wake and when it’s time to sleep. A …

Yoga Asana, Twisting into Revolved Chair Pose, Parivrtta Utkatasana

Feeling into the strength of the body, my quads awaken, noticing their own ability. Their power. The grace of the twist is intentional and love centered as the heart space shines up towards the beautiful sun. For this asana, you start in chair pose, Utkatasana, feet are hip distance apart, sitting back into your seat, knees strong and bending as your hips sink back, axial extension through the spine as you twist from the thoracic and connect your opposite elbow to the opposite knee. And don’t forget to breathe and move your beautiful energy around. Settling into Parivrtta Utkatasana Revolving the body in space while feeling into the strength of the legs. This is a beautiful pose to find your self in and to feel fully into the body. It allows our spinal column to express itself outside of the normal motions of forward and backward. To twist is to wring out tension that settles along the central nervous system, our side body, and hips. Revolved chair pose feels both vulnerable and strong. …

Morning Routine, Honoring the Beautiful Stillness

The ambrosial hours when the world is a little more still, allowing us to gently ease into the day. Our brains are in a slower brain wave pattern as we are just coming from sleep, making our subconscious more receptive and permeable. There is less stimulation so we can more readily drop into our personal self study. We must make conscious efforts to honor that stillness by not immediately tapping into the pleasure reward cycle of dopamine.   Consciously choosing to start the day in a defined way…with intention and love for the self. We can choose to honor these hours as Sacred space instead of getting caught up in the masculine swirl of energy that is so prominent in the western world. The masculine energy is something we all have embodied in our soul and it serves it’s purpose. I’m learning to value the balance of our inner dual energies, the sacred masculine and feminine, for they both contribute to our wellbeing. The feminine energy is nurturing, attentive and filled with curiosity…more about …
