February Human Design Readings ~ Self Love ~ Under 99$

Can Human Design help you with Self Love? Human Design is a tool that we can all benefit from. Self love is the area of life that I feel I have grown the most and to be honest it’s the area of life I am still growing and will probably always be. I like many, have so much conditioning and personal trauma. For many years it was hard to even look at myself in the mirror. I had often felt afraid to see myself for who I really was. All I could see was the story of my pain and my sadness, depression, alcohol abuse. My experiences of being the victim. But life tends to help us wake up if we can attune ourselves to that love. Little did I know… I was afraid to see my greatness. I was afraid to see my radiance. I was afraid to shine. My intention for this new year is to be seen, to share, to allow love to flow through all areas of my life to my …

Human Design: Honoring what lights you up

That sweet feeling of inner joy Your whole being starts to feel lighter and brighter. It’s as if your soul is telling you YES,  this is what I have been wanting. Through my learning with human design I have really started to step deeper into this deep internal knowing. I know for myself what is a “full body yes,” and an absolute “No.” It feels as if our bodies act as our own individual compasses, having their own intelligence…and speaking to us in the most subtle of ways. When we start to listen we realize what is true for us. How do we listen to the body? First we must be aware and practice awareness throughout our day so that we can tune into the body and all the sensations that we experience. To do this, we have to get quiet and “withdraw” our senses.  One way of settling into this is through meditation or just sitting and watching the breath (still this is meditation). Your eyes are closed so you are not seeing your …

Leaning into Ahimsa, “Do no harm”

Ahimsa means do no harm. I had first learned about the philosophy of ahimsa during my yoga teacher training and knew it was some thing that I wanted to come back to and discuss in Open Hearts Club. As a means of healing and understanding it at a deeper level. I encourage you to consider how you might be “doing” harm in your own life. Sometimes we get boxed into thinking that harm is only hurting someone physically but it could also mean emotionally, from our own selves-how we think, how we talk and more, or how we choose to interact with the natural world. Are we loving or are we hurting? At first I thought this was an easy philosophy to live by as I don’t consider myself a harmful person. But the more I thought about it I realize that I am harming myself nearly every single day. I am harming in the way that I think about myself inside my mind. I wanna acknowledge that I have gotten so much …

Why does yoga (+movement) make you feel so damn good?

☀️ I love your energy ☀️ It’s a beautiful act of love to move our bodies, to open into the heart space, to allow time for self inquiry and connecting to the beautiful vessel that moves us in this reality.   I always knew that yoga felt good but I didn’t always understand the why. I knew that I felt good after I ran and after doing some strength training. I knew that there was a release of feel good chemicals in the brain after working out. 🏋️‍♀️ I knew I was telling my body, “I am strong” just by the mere actions of moving the body in space, performing the basic and necessary foundational motions such as hip hinging, squatting, arm extension and flexion, pushing, pulling, etc. We are evolutionarily wired to move. To travel through our limbs, to forage, to squat, to be able to get up off the ground without assistance. Our bodies are so capable. The thing that stops them is prolonged sitting, hunching over computers and phones and living sedentary …

A new spring meditation for you

Hello Open Hearts Club friends, I wanted to take a moment to share my first meditation 🧘‍♀️. As many of you know I just completed my Yoga Teacher Training with Detroit Yoga Lab and I am ripe with ideas on how to serve and lift others. The best thing we can do right now is keep raising our own vibration, trust in our own inner light and lead with love.   I hope you enjoy and please let me know how your experience was sending you all the love you need today! Meditation starts at 1:28 second   In collaboration with my extremely talented and loving husband (video)

Morning Routine, Honoring the Beautiful Stillness

The ambrosial hours when the world is a little more still, allowing us to gently ease into the day. Our brains are in a slower brain wave pattern as we are just coming from sleep, making our subconscious more receptive and permeable. There is less stimulation so we can more readily drop into our personal self study. We must make conscious efforts to honor that stillness by not immediately tapping into the pleasure reward cycle of dopamine.   Consciously choosing to start the day in a defined way…with intention and love for the self. We can choose to honor these hours as Sacred space instead of getting caught up in the masculine swirl of energy that is so prominent in the western world. The masculine energy is something we all have embodied in our soul and it serves it’s purpose. I’m learning to value the balance of our inner dual energies, the sacred masculine and feminine, for they both contribute to our wellbeing. The feminine energy is nurturing, attentive and filled with curiosity…more about …

My Journey with Meditation

They say that showing up is the hardest part, especially in our “busy” world. Today I showed up with a candle and fixed my gaze upon the gentle organic shape of the flame. Pure, gentle beauty. My eyes and mind transfixed on the simplicity of it all. My inner mind whispers, Thank you for showing up today. I typically don’t use a candle when I meditate, but I had just received my Michigan made beeswax candle and used them last night for my full moon ceremony. It felt only right to continue to honor that flame. It was warm and inviting, which means a lot in a Michigan winter. I have been contemplating the space that fire holds, as it’s been a constant companion in my Cacao Ceremonies over the past few months. honoring the flame that transmutes, shifts energy, burning away the things that no longer serve. The fire lives with in all of us, and we live in the fire. The eternal flame of light. We are made of the elements.   Nothing …

connecting to the spirit of winter

Leaning into winter   It has been a process and it’s not always comfortable, but wow is it a beautiful way to pass the time as the sun sets early and we find ourselves spending much more time indoors. Being in the cold makes you feel alive. The cool air permeating your earth suit. You are immediately taken into awareness. You feel the cold in so many different ways and they’re all lovely, making you appreciate your home and it’s levels of “comfort” even more. As an avid nature love, I had always waited in anticipation for the spring…leading into summer and the fall. Three seasons I have always easily loved. Winter has it’s own sense of wonder. As a native Michigander, winter has been part of my life since my first year of life on this wondrous planet. I was born in the spring so I always said spring was my favorite season, the season I was born into, just after the start of spring on March 22.   Bursting with life, just …

#CacaoEveryDay, A 7 Day Wellness Experience with Cacao Lab

I wanted to take a moment to share my personal participation with Cacao Lab’s 7 Day Wellness exchange starting Monday! In case you feel inspired to join along, please follow my journey. Cacao is rich, velvety, nourishing, earthy. She sings songs and whispers softly to my heart. Working with cacao is a beautiful and spiritual experience that has the ability to gently open the heart space, creating vulnerability and true tenderness. It starts this coming Monday January 24, 2022 and will be lasting for 7 days. It is a chance to explore the medicine of Mama Cacao, to create space for ritual, inquiry, growth and to dig deep into the places we sometimes neglect. Offering ourselves a chance to explore spiritual self care. The over arching theme of this exchange will be, How do we come back to ourselves during times of uncertainty?   A few questions to contemplate or journal about related to this are: How do you create your sacred space? What elements need to be present for you to feel safe to …
